Savinho: Pep Guardiola Transforms and Elevates Every Player’s Game

Savinho is eager to make his mark at Wembley next week as he embarks on his new journey with Manchester City.

The Brazilian winger, City’s sole summer acquisition so far, has joined for an initial £21 million from Troyes, with the deal potentially rising to £33.6 million.

After a demanding Copa America campaign with Brazil, where his team reached the quarter-finals, Savinho was granted a break from City’s pre-season tour to recharge.

He will rejoin his teammates in Manchester on Monday, syncing up with the squad that recently returned from the U.S. pre-season tour.

This week’s end, Savinho is determined to impress enough in training to secure a spot for City’s clash against Manchester United in the Community Shield.

“I hope to play of course, all players need to be wanting, hoping, and ready to play,” he said at his official unveiling. “Monday will be one week from the Community Shield so I need to work hard to have the opportunity to play against Manchester United.

“I’m really happy and honoured and I can’t wait. I’m really looking forward to training. I thank God for the opportunity to have brought me here. I’m grateful to everyone at Manchester City for signing me and putting my trust and faith in me and being a part of this huge club.

“I’m really looking forward to this opportunity and I can’t wait to start training and make my debut for the team.”

Savinho shone brightly during his loan spell at Girona last season, playing a pivotal role in the Spanish club’s historic Champions League qualification.

With 11 goals and 10 assists, he was instrumental in Girona’s remarkable third-place finish, trailing only behind Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Now, the Brazilian playmaker is eager to bring that same impact to Manchester City.

As he gears up to link up with stars like Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne, Savinho aims to dazzle in City’s sky blue, hoping to replicate his previous success on an even grander stage.

“I’m really looking forward to providing assists to Haaland and other players like De Bruyne,” he added.

“I am really looking forward to working hard during the week to be ready and at my best for the weekend.”
