Julian Alvarez has finalised a move to Atletico Madrid ending a hugely successful two years at Manchester City.
Joining from Argentine side River Plate, the 24-year-old made 103 appearances in all competitions, scoring 36 times and helping City to secure six major trophies.
After being unveiled alongside Erling Haaland and Stefan Ortega Moreno outside the Etihad Stadium, he went on to make a big impact at the Club.
In his first season in Pep Guardiola’s side, he helped us secure an historic and iconic Treble with some key moments along the way.
The season was also interrupted by the World Cup where he helped Argentina to victory to add to a remarkable medal haul that includes the Argentinian title and the Copa Liberatadores.
Last season he made a big impact in all competitions, weighing in with 19 goals and 13 assists from 54 appearances – more than any other player.
Two of those goals came in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup when City beat Brazilian side Fluminense 4-0 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
